World Cup Fever!

i should be studying for the physics test tomorrow.. but i thought i should spend a little time updating my blog.. ;) So today a record was made when class 4P2, had around 15 absentees, but eventually turned out to be 10 absentees as some of them came late.. lol.. so class was quiet, not like the usual.. it felt so empty, especially when joshua tan is not around providing us with his humorous comments. Wallace wasn't in school, the class smelt much better. And a lot fo other people who are not supposed to be in school came, so i guess April is also the month of illnesses.. Is it the air con? Passing the virus to everyone? Or is it just a coincedence? oh well, as long as i'm fine.. okay, so today, yi yao became the "teacher" during english lesson, and it's so funny i tell you.. i told him when there's yi yao, there's always something to laugh at.. not his jokes, but him! lol.. I really dig his distinctive actions and slutty+bitchy character.. lol.. no wonder his blog is called slutch(slut+bitch=slutch) lol.. i just learned this method of saying "whatever" from the master.. first, you stare at the victim and use your right hand, with all fingers pointed out and not apart, to tap your left shoulder.. Now tap your left shoulder by moving your hand across your chest.. this has to be done quickly yet with style, if not it won't work.. Then, with the flick of the wrist, you change the direction your hand is pointing to the opposite direction.. be sure not to injure your wrist while doing so.. Lastly, remember to roll your eyes and jerk your head several times while doing the whole hand movements.. oh and after that, say the magic word, "whatever!" with a bitchy "uh!" at the back.. have fun learning this technique.. i'm still trying to master this skill.. all in all, i think yi yao is a really great friend who never fails to make you laugh.. even if it's intended or not.. so those people who think that i'm crazy when i suddenly laugh in class, pls stop thinking so because i'm just laughing at yi yao.. ;)

what happened so far

So this is my first post for the month of April.. a lot of things happened in March.. Me getting HFMD, student leaders' investiture, sports heats, food feast with 4p2, sajak rehearsals etc. (in no chronological order)

Haven't been rendering my services to the Bethany for the past few weeks.. i think i've missed around 2 sessions.. Will be looking forward to the next sessions on tuesday and wednesday.. Gah.. Actually i don't see the point of this Bethany cip thingy.. Especially if it's raining and you can't bring the old folks outside.. You will have to stay indoors, and play bingo or laze around attempting to start a conversation with them, which only a minority of them who understands English. The last time i went there, i ended up playing chess with Sheedy since nobody knew how to play chess.. -_-" None of the old folks were talking to one another. They were all watching this Chinese drama on tv for so long that i wish i could just switch off the tv and breakdance in front of them to give them some form of entertainment instead..(despite the fact that i can't breakdance) Seriously man, i don't know how they can survive with such a monotonous life. Oh and the other day, we were playing bingo, it went on for like more than 2 hours.. -_-" And they will take some time to realize that they have actually won.. Can't blame them though.. I thought bingo was like their favourite past time, but i asked this resident, and he said that he hated it in some foreign language.. (Ongkey was the translator) I will never go to Bethany on Fridays again.

Student Leaders' Investiture went on quite smoothly. Thanks to the many rehearsals that we had and the cooperation of everyone. But i seriously think we shouldn't have gotten somebody as young as Miss Theresa Goh(the disabled national swimmer) to be our GOH. Her speech was kind of boring, showed pictures of her life. -_-" More of showing than explaining. Should at least tell us a story or experience that has got something to do with leadership. And i don't see any relation between her and the school. Should have gotten some ex student such as Mr Sim Wong Hu (mastermind behind creative) instead. (is his name spelt correctly?) Other than that, everything else was fine. I love the CCA council badge! From 4p2 there are 5 people involved in the investiture. 3 from cca council (me grace and yiyao), and 2 from councillors (weini and zulhafiz). Well, yiyao was the only one without the blazer. So sad.. =( But it was fun making you jealous though. lol.

Deklamasi Sajak NUS is finally over. The competition was yesterday and boy, we had a blast performing as well as watching others' performances. Didn't expect to win in the first place. We didn't really brainstormed on how we were going to perform. It was just too simple. It lacks creativity. Watched RI's and St Andrew's performances. Man, they were impressive. RI got runner up position and the latter is the champion. RI made use of ladders and their stunts can be considered pretty dangerous. Damn. I knew it. In the beginning i have always wanted somebody to fly. Must have some elements of danger in your performance to wow the audiences.Now i'm regretting it. Gah. On the other hand, St Andrews cracked up the whole theatre with their comical performance. And their sajak is about how to cook sambal goreng, when the theme is pancaindera (the 5 senses). How creative. I never would have thought of that. On the whole it was very cute, and entertaining. Very disappointed with our school. We did our best, but our best was just not good enough.

I've fully recovered from HFMD.. what a relieve.

The events coming up will be Band Competition, Sports Day, Mid Year Exams, Napha Test. (in no chronological order) I think i'll post up pictures from the food feast at fish n co.
