sahibba results: we ended up getting the 3rd highest points amongst all the school
khidir got the 6th highest points for individual round
and I got the 2nd highest points for individual round!
what we got: $80 for the 3rd placing
$75 for getting 2nd place in the individual round
total amount i got: $75+($80/5)= $91
it is divided by 5 bcos zul was the reserve.. lol.. you're so lucky..
so anyway, what is sahibba? in case you don't know, it is basically malay scrabble.. we had to play 2 rounds and they are 4 people playing a game.. 2 will be from the same school.. so you must strategize when you play, but without the aid of communicating to one another by any means.. i paired up with sheedy, and khidir paired up with syazwani.. we went against clementi town sec while the other two went against kranji sec..
so first round, terror sia.. our plan was to just execute each word as fast as possible, so that the other school won't be able to form a word quickly.. so they had a lot of passes.. we cope all the double word score..
then 2nd round, wah.. sheedy got a lot of vowels, and i didn't have any.. basket.. then the other school managed to form several good words but didn't get the coloured spaces.. and we ended up getting them.. woo! all the rubbish words started to come out.. sheedy could have ended the game but i thought i could make another word.. but my word didn't exist, so the opponent had to end the game with additional 10 points.. Maybe we could have gotten 2nd if sheedy were to end the game.. aaah! my fault.. my apologies.. so anyway, here's a picture of the trophies.. ;)
